The opening and unveiling to the world of the largest food producing wall in the world will be on May 1, 2015 at the Milan Worlds Fair. This photo at the left is an actual shot done this week showing the final installation going on in Milan.
ZipGrow technology is getting some fuel as the main attraction of the U.S Pavilion at the 2015 World’s Fair. Designed by James Biber of Biber Architects, the Pavilion will feature the world’s largest food-growing green wall, powered by ZipGrow.
Not only will the Pavilion’s 3000-tower green wall showcase the beauty of American innovation, but it will be the first lightweight green wall that can also support traditional large-statured crops. We’re excited to see the greenwall make it’s debut, and we have high hopes that the green wall will serve as a beacon that will encourage vertical farmers and trigger the creation of new farms and new opportunities.
